Got Tedium? How To Enjoy the Job You Have Until You Have The Job You Want
Visit a bookseller and you can find any number of books telling you how to find your dream job (a “dream job” search on Amazon returns 513 results), from using the Internet to using the rules of dating. Clearly, there is a large number of people who do not have their dream job and want help finding it. For most of them, however, the transition will not happen overnight, and what those books don’t share is how to enjoy the job you have in the meantime. If there’s no escaping the call

The Role of Deluxe Business Forms
Business forms play an important role in any successful organization. They help the business houses in many ways such as conducting day-to-day work smoothly, maintaining good customer relationship, complying statutory requirements, and many other things.Advancement in information technology enables business organizations to automate all their activities through computerized and online systems. Online facilities enable people to access the company's information from anywhere. As a re
I've never worked for a boss I didn't like or respect.  Sure, some were better than others, but I never considered quitting my job because of a bad boss.  Unfortunately, many employees aren't so lucky.

If your boss is a total butthead, someone you'll never get along with, admire or respect no matter how hard you try, there are a few things you can do.

Wait.  Is your boss close to retirement or promotion--or even better--termination?  If so, try to bide your time and wait until that happy event happens.

Bite your tongue.  Keeping anger and frustration bottled up inside is not healthy, but neither is complaining about your boss at work. So if your family can tolerate it, vent at home instead.  It'll make you feel better even if it does nothing to help your situation.  It may be tempting to complain about your boss at work, especially if coworkers are talking about the same problems.  But resist that temptation! The Basics of the Cover Letter - Part 1
When you send people your resume, whether it's through regular mail, overnight mail, e-mail, or a fax, it's important to include a one-page cover letter. This letter must be carefully written so that it's just as convincing a document as your resume. The reason for this is that the only purpose of a cover letter is to provide information about yourself that will make people want to read your resume.Gone are the days when a cover letter was a formality, where it sufficed to offer a f

    Protecting Brands From Being #1
We define brand as a representation of consumer perception — the perception and feeling toward a product or service. For example, when we think of Disney, we may think of “magic,” or when we think of Harley-Davidson, we may think of “individuality.” Each of these brands has done an exceptional job in branding themselves as something more than a “table stake” (representing the minimum investment as a cost of entry) of the category. They each represent more than a benign descriptor of the ef

Leadership Development - Secure The Future
“At senior levels of an organization, the ability to adapt, to make decisions quickly in situations of high uncertainty, and to steer through wrenching change is critical. But at a time when the need for superior talent is increasing, big U.S. companies are finding it difficult to attract and retain good people. Executives and experts point to a severe and worsening shortage of the people needed to run divisions and manage critical functions, let alone lead companies. Everyone knows org

They assist in bringing about a smooth and stress-free deal. Continue to work hard.  Regardless of how your boss treats you, it's in your best self-interest to continue doing your job to the best of your ability. Stay focused and think about how your efforts are helping the company as a whole.  If you do a good job, you may get noticed by your boss's colleagues or even his superiors.  Maybe a better opportunity will arise.

Try to improve your relationship.  If your boss is a complete butthead, this may be impossible no matter what you do. But if he's only a partial butthead, perhaps it would be worth your time to try to make the situation better. After all, this person may have control over your advancement up the career ladder.
