Ecommerce Solution for the Big and Small Business
First off, you need to know what an ecommerce solution is. An ecommerce solution can be defined in many ways. An ecommerce solution is a way to define electronic shopping carts. An ecommerce solution is used for businesses that sell things on the web. An ecommerce solution makes it possible for any sale or transaction to be made. They enable the use of credit cards and other forms of payment to be used right on your website. It is used for large companies like

The Processionary Caterpillar Syndrome Costs You Sales?
Some years ago I read and interesting story that illustrated why many of the sales and service industry professionals that invest their time and money in my personal telephone coaching sessions ( http://www.TheSellingEdge.com/personalCoaching.htm ) have until the coaching sessions have failed to move beyond an intellectual understanding of sound selling principles. Introduction

At this point you have now decided on the right business for you. For under $20 your e-commerce site is up and running. You are excited! You are now a business owner! However, you notice something is amiss. Who’s going to see it? More importantly: 1) how are you going to get people to the site. and 2) When you do, will they buy anything? The article dispels two of the myths related to starting your on online (e-commerce business).

The myth of “little or no effort”

The notion that your business will be financially successful with little or no effort is a MYTH! So far, I have not noticed my business running itself. You must get the buying public to your site. To do that requires more than a little effort. It requires a lot of effort and work. There are thousands of e-commerce sites on the Internet. That number changes drastically everyday. Remember your site was just added to that big selection pot. So, you will have to do some initial legwork, arm work, (you get the idea) to make your site a visible presence in the sea of choices on the Internet.

The myth of “family and friends”

The manuals tell you to start with family and friends. This is a great idea if this was your first attempt at a successful business. If you are like me then you have tried several ideas before this point. If so, you will find that sometimes family and friends are not as receptive as you hoped for. For those of you who are blessed with an abundance of family and friends with whom you try your many ideas you are very fortunate! However, to those of us who do not have a large family and friend base where do we go?

    Helpful Suggestions

    1. Research: You need to research the type of audience you are trying to reach. Am I looking for a specific type of consumer (targeted) or am I trying to reach everyone and anyone (untargeted) who can click a mouse? You want to choose wisely. You do not want to spend a lot of money on additional online (or paper) advertising if you don’t need it. Read articles on strategies used by those who are successful in the online (e-commerce) area.
