Replacing Your High Paying IT Job
The demand for IT professionals is extremely large currently but it may not last forever. The government, military and large corporations are spending a lot on IT right now. Why you might ask?Well, the government is spending due to organizing its agencies to work better together. The military is spending on Net-Centric Warfare to protect the American People. Corporations are spending in order to comply with ridiculous over regulation due to the insanity of brain-dead bureaucrats in regulatory bodies.i>

A client called me not long ago rather upset. She said that she had found several errors in the manuscript I had edited and returned. To err is human they say, and even the best editors and proofreaders can overlook something. The eye can deceive, especially when you are tired and especially when you have been working closely on one document for a long period of time. The natural tendency, professional proofreaders tell us, is to see what we logically expect to see in the text—even if it isn't really there. Often periods go AWOL at the end of sentences for this very reason. It's a classic example of how the brain "fills in the blanks" for our eyes.

Anxious and worried, because I am normally very diligent, I asked her to indicate the errors to me and I would review and correct. And so I come to the second popular myth about proper grammar usage: you cannot start a sentence with because.

The #1 Thing You Must Have Before Even Thinking About Building An Opt In Email List
It's not a website. It’s a smart autoresponder and mailing list software.Be aware, I just said smart autoresponder. Not a cheesy one, I mean regular one.You know what a regular autoresponder is. It's the thing that a lot of people use when they are out of the office or on vacation. It works like this.Let's say you are emailing a friend that is out of town. You send the email and then instantly you get a reply back saying something like this, "I'm out of the office right now, I'm o

The No 2 Forex Trading Mistake
The No 1 mistake that most Forex traders make is to set themselves a set of trading rules and then fail to stick to them because they allow their emotions to come into play so that their heart, rather than their head, rules their trading. The No 2 mistake that most Forex traders make is to start doubling up on a losing trade and, once again, they make this mistake for exactly the same reason. You cannot allow your emotions to take over when it comes to foreign exchange trading and yet, time after time, that

    Interest Rates
After you have picked a lender for your loan you can apply for the best discounts. You are likely to get a better deal for online applications. There are lenders that specialize in business loans for people with poor credit or for entrepreneurs with high risk. These loans are very likely to have much higher interest rates but at the same time can offer a lower rate when the business starts to show positive cash flow, and also the borrower shows a good ability to pay the loan. One type of loan that almost always

The novice writer had a penchant for very, very long sentences that were syntactically incorrect. The stream-of-consciousness technique may sound easy—just write as you think or speak—but only the most accomplished writers can pull it off really well. I had chopped some of her sentences down to size—where appropriate—and that created a few new ones that started with because and a few more that started with but. Because she had been told in grade school that it was wrong to begin a sentence with because, these new sentences were perceived as errors.

In the previous article—Part 1—we looked at a popularly held belief that sentences should not begin with conjunctions such as and or but. Opinions about English usage with no real basis in grammar that have been perpetuated over time are known as non-errors. The notion that we cannot begin our sentences with conjunctions is a non-error. The word because fell prey to this mythology too, and style guides and well-meaning teachers have been rapping our knuckles over this one for ages.
