I don't know about you, but I see more people with PDAs on trains reading things on there instead of reading paperbacks, or newspapers. Is this the future we are looking at?Will newspapers of a morning be unobtainable anymore? Will we get our daily news via the PDA?Perhaps connected to a "Smartphone" for downloa
For those who get a chance in their lives to visit emerging nation's urban slums it is an experience that they never forget. Most everyone who visits them feels a great deal of empathy, even the most hardcore individuals. One cannot help but think something must be done, even take up the cause themselves to push awareness, motivate volunteers, influence political will or devout their lives to aiding the sick, weak and poor.

Recently the Online Think Tank did a research study on Kibera, the largest slum in urban Nairobi, Kenya, where some 800,000 people are packed in under some of the most miserable living conditions of the present period. The Think Tank proposed many systematic changes needed to meet the challenge and prepare for economic development to sustain it.

Unfortunately, a few days after completing the study it was determined that even though the plan is excellent, it cannot work. Because once the plan is completed and every one had better living conditions, the populations there will begin to expand, as the inhabitants continue to breed. Worse off more people will come from throughout the region. Once the word gets out everyone for as far away as a thousand miles or more who is starving will come and bring their families.

Thus, once the slum is revitalized, more areas like it must be built all around Africa and then more and more still. Since more city areas will be built more people will be born and the problem will increase to an alarming rate. Temporary Sterilization of humans entering the new revitalized slum should be a mandatory requirement. If these people work their way out of the newly upgraded slums and their food changes they will no longer be sterilized.

The Online Think Tank is concerned that folks may not like this answer, but simply improving the living conditions in these slums is not enough, as it will only cause a worsened problem and end up bankrupting the nations of Africa and running the World out of food. In the end that is not a viable solution at all. Mankind needs to deal with these issues on a reality bases and duly considering of the severity of the problem.
