So far I have seen nothing done by either party that we have elected. What can we do as American citizens to change this situation now and in the future? When we again hold elections for President and other party elections?

I have followed this story very closely. I think that we need better cooperation between or parties now and in the elections. We must all make sure that when the next election rolls around we are all registered to vote. To make sure that we let our elected officials know that it is not alright to never agree on anything.That this kind of government just spends a larger amount of our tax dollars for people that we elected to run our country to argue and get paid for it.

I think that we need to be more involved with our government. So that they make the same commitment to their jobs that we have with our jobs. Do you think for one minute that you are boss would let you take a vacation when your work was not finished? I will tell you I worked for a large real estate company as a contractor. We could not even start a job until we had all the needs for that job were acceptable to all three parties the tenant the contractor and the leasing agent all agreed on the finished product. So that all three parties got what we each wanted.

You would think that even long term that our government leaders could agree on a basic time for withdrawal from Iraq. Instead they tieing up money that meant for people who need it to a war bill. Then they fight for two months on a time line for withdrawal. We need change from our leaders so that they can get things done. With more commitment to finalize a bill for withdrawal from Iraq so that these young men and women of our armed services can finally come home.

These are just some of the legitimate questions that should be asked at these debates. Why did the democratic party attach money that was needed for the people of Hurricane that hit our country? There are other people who needed this money right away? This should have been attached as a separate bill so that people who were waiting for their money did not have to wait. I believe that there should be a normal every day working person allowed to get their views and ask questions for these candidates running office of President. For that matter other government jobs. Why would you not only involve working class people? I believe that this sort of idea would raise the vote count in 2008. By raising and involving everyday working people in these debates would allow people who watch these debates to get their questions answered.

I am writing this article to make people more aware that they should be able to get answers to questions put forward by people. Where people don't work and live a normal every day life just to survive. We need to assure the American people that these candidates will answer the right questions. I will be doing more articles on this subject as part of my columns of commitment to change. Lets work together readers writer and publishers to the change of all problems that faces our country. we do not want just promises we have heard for years.
