The reality is that those kind of nutcases are not trained assassins. They are delusional loners starved for attention who fantasize about revenge, retaliation, and going out in a "blaze of glory".

They watch too much TV, play too many video games, and have major confidence and emotional issues. They latch on to ridiculous and often fabricated causes (Jihad anyone?) in an effort to relate to other miserable bastards.
