The Right Way to Use Automated Email
Using an online registration system to register attendees for your next event can significantly diminish your workload and increase attendance, but automated follow-up by email is essential for the success of your event. In fact, there are two different (yet still very important) ways to use it:1. To send out automatic confirmations to newly registered attendees.2. To send out reminder emails to registrants as the date of the event approaches.Automated confirmation emails will build confidence with your registrants. They'll know instantly that they are “IN” and confirmed for the event. It’s one less thing for them to have to think about. What's more, you won't have to deal with pesky questions like: "Did my registration go through?"Unfortunately, there will always be no-shows at every event. In fact, some meeting planners report no-show rates as high as 30 percent! Depending on your cancellation and refund policy, these no-shows can cut right into your bottom line. They can make or break your event. However, with automated reminder emails, you'll naturally get a much higher rate of attendance. And you'll reduce your no-shows to a bare minimum.A user of automated confirmation emails, Brian Hodge, wrote: "Best event yet. Ninety percent show-up rate out of the sign-ups and lots of positive feedback."A 90% show-up rate is quite good, but many meeting planners do even better. When searching for an online registration system that offers automated confirmation emails, it is important to consider that they can be completely personalized with names, agenda selectio

Once permission is granted, we simply apply Windex to the front windshield of the auto, scrub it with our sponge (at this point hand a sponge to the manager so that he can see it will not damage the windshield) and then dry it with newspaper. We then collect the money as they either enter or exit the store.

We will make sure all newspaper and trash is picked up prior to leaving the parking lot and all supplies that we need will be purchased from your store." Inform the manager what day you will be on his/her parking lot and at what time you will begin.

The Importance of Education Verification in Employee Background Checks
Education verification is an important part of your general employee background check. If you believe that this has lesser importance than a criminal background check, consider the case of Laura Callahan who resigned as Director of the Department of Homeland Security in 2004.It was established that Laura Callahan’s doctorate was obtained from Hamilton University, a known ‘diploma mill’. That is a so-called educational establishment that offers diplomas and doctorates to students after little or no study. Subsequent investigation discovered that a minimum of 28 other senior employees had obtained their qualifications from diploma mills. In other words, they were not suitably qualified for the jobs they were holding.Diploma mills are commonplace, and Columbia State University, for example was shut down in 1998 after an advertising campaign offering degrees within 27 days! That was another diploma mill, and that is one of the reasons for education verification being so important. The requirement for qualification has become very widespread, and it is little wonder that so many job applicants are tempted to at least overstate their qualifications if not downright lie. Most company positions now require an education qualification of some form or another, and if you search for ‘fake degrees’ on Google you will find several pages offering them. It’s a problem. The temptation to provide false educational credentials is overwhelming since the rewards for success in fooling your potential employer can be high. The General Accounting Office reported in 2004 that up to 200,000 federal
Welcome to the wonderful world of fundraising through the windshield washing business. Sit back, grab a cup of coffee or cola, and relax as you learn from this manual on how you and your group can make up to $75.00 an hour or more for your groups needs.

The windshield washing business is a business in which you can earn profits quickly for just a little investment (approx $2.00).

This is a simple business that really works. Because it is easy, please don't over look its simplicity without giving it an honest try. It works!

We use Windex, Newspapers and a sponge to make $75.00/hour.

Several years ago as Youth Director of the United Pentecostal Church in Hackberry, LA (a small town population of 2,500 people approximately 30 miles south of Lake Charles, LA) if was my job to raise funds for our various projects for our group or donation to other causes.

In our fund raising efforts in the past, we have tried candy sales, pizza sales, item sales, walk-a-thons and all sorts of other gimmicks. Most of these brought poor participation and little income for our youth group. It seems if we wanted to raise money for our group it was struggle after struggle. Perhaps you are there now.

When we came upon the idea of a windshield wash, at first it seemed a little CRAZY. Who ever heard of making money from a service as simple as this.

    WOW!!!

.....That's a cool word, I'll believe I'll spell it backwards...WOW. Where was I. Oh yea. We were shocked at how fast this little business generates mountains of green stuff called cash. Zowee! We found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I have walked my last 10 mile walk-a-thon. No more candy and pizza sells.

Keep your eyes glued to these simple pages and I will reveal to you how you can do the same for your youth group. Your gonna love this business.

    LET'S DANCE

(Here is the juicy stuff you've been waiting for)

The 3 items that you need to begin your windshield washing business are:

    • Glass Cleaner
    • Soft Sponge
    • Newspaper
Glass Cleaner - you may use any type of cleaner that you can find. You can use the expensive Windex or you can use the cheap bargain brand that cost approximately $1.00 a bottle at most discount or dollar type stores. Soft Sponge – This is the type that has a sponge surrounded by cloth. The sponge holds the liquid for cleaning and the cloth aids in cleaning the windshield. NEVER and I repeat NEVER use the scouring pot scraper type cleaning pad. This makes tiny scratches on the windshield and you will be replacing windshields. You want to make money, not lose it. Fortunately, I used one of these on my own vehicle before we used this on customers vehicles. Newspaper – Your local town paper now becomes something besides bad news. You want to use the black and white sections, not the glossy colored sales papers. This is used to dry the windshield after scrubbing them clean.

Perhaps you have these items lying around the house and it won’t cost you a cent to get started. I recommend 2 sets of the above 3 items for each group of 3 people in your group. If you have 12 people in your group, then you need 8 bottles of glass cleaner, 8 cleaning sponges and 8 newspapers. Don’t worry if you don’t have the money to get this right off the bat, as you can purchase more with profits you will make. Start with one set of the above items. Work this business according to our instructions, and soon you will have enough money to purchase many more sets of cleaning supplies.

    TIME TO GET STARTED

Step 1. Decide where you want to conduct your first wash. When I lived in Hackberry, LA the decision was an easy one. I worked for the busiest business in town, a grocery store called Brown’s Food Mart. I spoke with the owner and he gave me the go ahead.

If your town is big enough for a Wal-Mart or K-Mart, this is where I recommend going. I choose this for 3 reasons. Number 1 is because both of these companies are people oriented and like to help out the community. You should have no problem getting permission from the manager to conduct a wash.

Number 2 reason is because every one goes to Wal-Mart or K-Mart and you will have an unending supply of people to donate to your cause. (We have also used large grocery store parking lots, so don’t limit yourself to the big boys, because it will work anywhere). Number 3 reason is you can supply your group with additional supplies as you need them without having to send someone for them.

Step 2. Approach the Manager and ask his/her permission to conduct a Windshield Wash. Find out who the manager is and ask for an audience. Approach him/her and extend your hand in greeting. "Good Morning, My name is Al Pooser (only says this if it is your name. How To Buy A Business Part 1
For many people, buying an existing business sounds easier than starting one from scratch. When you buy a business it is already established. It has an existing customer base and built-in cash flow.It sounds like the perfect answer to all your problems. No more 9 to 5. No more working for someone else. No more rat race. No more layoffs. But, before you rush in and buy an existing business you have to make sure that the business you buy is right for you and that you’re right for the business. Otherwise, those old problems can become even bigger headaches: No boss means no regular paycheck. That 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. workday can be replaced by a 5 a.m. to midnight shift, seven days a week. Layoffs or downsizing can be replaced with the scramble to meet the monthly payroll. The upside is that if you choose the best business for you, and if know the secrets of handling the purchase the right way, you can enjoy the pleasures and the profits of being your own boss without having to go through the groundwork process of actually building it from scratch. If you seriously want to buy a business, you have to ask yourself, “What kind of business is right for me? For example, should it be a one-person operation? Perhaps, if you really like working alone. But a lot of people who take the one-person route find the work excessively demanding, the silence deafening, and the loneliness disheartening. Before you decide to buy a business, you should go through several important exercises. First, find out what size business you can afford. In making that determination, understand that most small busi

Logo Design - Facilitating The Creation of a Powerful Brand
An organization might not have been in the business for many long years, but if it has started off by investing in building a brand identity with a good logo design, the word "success" is not far away from it. Most business ventures start with negligible market share; it is only through the application of good marketing strategies, smart management decisions and constant dedicated effort at all levels that a small business eventually turns out to be a big brand. For a new business start-up or a small business, a well-planned marketing strategy is perhaps a prerequisite from the day one itself. The business logo design forms an indispensable part of a good marketing strategy and the first step towards the making of a powerful brand.A good first impression is what a new business firm needs at the very beginning to subsequently popularize their brand. A memorable logo design can very well serve this purpose. Most people tend to remember what they see than what they hear, so a meaningful and attractive logo design certainly leaves a long lasting impression among the viewers. A logo helps the potential customers/ clients to relate with the company in a better way. A company without a logo is just as good as a faceless entity. The “look and feel” of a company is one of the aspects that induce the customers/ clients to opt for its products/ services. A company may have a limited physical presence but its logo can make its presence felt worldwide. A professional logo design facilitates the viewers in having a good perception for the brand. Such positive perceptions, later on, translate into better bus

How To Get A Millionaire Mind
You may often find yourself wondering why some individuals struggle to exist while others have an abundance of wealth. The key to all this is the mindset of the individuals. Those who are wealthy have what many refer to as a millionaire mind. This millionaire mind is a different way of thinking that separates those who are successful from everyone else. When it comes to the millionaire mind the subconscious is the most powerful. It often takes over for the conscious mind. This allows individuals to achieve success rather than pushing the subconscious mind out of the way and listening to their conscious mind and never achieving success. The key to learning to listen to your subconscious mind is to have a positive view of money and wealth rather than a negative view. However, changing your thinking isn't the only way to gain a millionaire mind. There are other things you can do. Consider a few of them listed below.Assume ResponsibilityNo matter what happens in your life you should make sure you take responsibility for it. Don't place the blame for your problems on others. There is more benefit to doing this than you may think. It allows individuals to realize what they can and cannot do which allows them to set realistic goals for what they want to achieve out of life. This can be very beneficial to gaining a millionaire mind. Next always make sure you mind focuses on the positive.Positive ThinkingYou are likely to give more attention to whatever you focus your attention on. Your Boss…Your Buddy…Where to Mark the Boundary?
We all know that these days one need very good “networking” to get a good break…or jump in their career. As they say, “what you know is not important but whom you know is very important”. At times it so happens that the person you knows…in the industry turns become your boss in any of the future assignment. Now, the question here is…1. How close you should go…to your boss or in contrary, how close should you, as a boss…goes to your subordinate?2. What are the intentions of that person to hire you as his sub-ordinate?3. What goes into your mind, when you accept the offer…from an organization where your friend is your boss?4. What you should share and what you should not? These and many more are the questions…that we come across in your career…when we get our buddy as our boss. We will be discussing some of the points…in this write-up…along with few examples.Let me remind you…if your boss is too close to you…he will not be able to get the things done, because in India, most of the people are not self-disciplined and at most of the time…discipline need to be enforced. On the contrary, he is strict…you will call him as “Hitler” or something. In one of my pervious assignment…once we were discussing about “Departmental Picnic” and our boss rejected our suggestion…by giving the following reason, “Why should I take you to picnic? Tomorrow, I will take you for picnic…we will enjoy together…dance together and then the very next day when we will come to office…I need to get the things done. I will shout at you…might get angry…or upset. Then, you people will say that I ha

Step 3. Organize your group. I will spell it out step-by-step with a group as few as 3 people and you can upsize the supplies according to the number of people in your group. If you wish start with 1 each of the supplies, but I recommend to make it go faster and more profitable to use 2 or each of the supplies.

You need a spokesperson for each group. This person needs to be outgoing and not afraid of speaking to someone. They need to be loud enough to be heard. Not the shy silent type, here. This person needs to approach the driver of the vehicle as they get out of the vehicle and say "Good Morning we are with Kidz 4 Kidz (or the name of your group) and for a small donation we would like to wash your windshield", then remain quiet. If the person ask a question, just answer it. Mostly they ask about your group or what you are raising money for, then they pull out change or dollars from thier pocket or purse and give it to you. Zowee! Time to go to work, you have hit pay dirt.

"For a small donation, we would like to wash your windshield." This little saying speaks volumes. It is short, easy to say. It conveys to the person that you approach, exactly what you want. When you introduce yourself with the name of your group, especially if it is a youth group, people automatically want to help. It is a built in philosophy because people see so much bad press when it comes to youth, that when they see youth doing good they automatically wish to help.

A little word about competition. It doesn’t matter how many groups are washing windows around you, the bottom line is competition doesn’t matter. You can have a group on every corner around you and it still wouldn’t bother your response.

As soon as your spokesperson gets permission and collects the cash or check, the 2 others in the group approach the auto on either side of the front windshield. Each person sprays the windshield on the side that they are on. If they are not tall enough you might bring a small step stool from home to reach the middle of the windshield.

After spraying a generous portion of window cleaner on the window (more spray is required in hot climate) take the cloth covered sponge and gently scrub the entire side of the window that you are working on. If you are unsure of the type of cloth covered sponge to use, test a small portion of a window on your car and see if it scratches your window. When I first started I used one of those pot scrapers and it scratched my window. You can bet I didn’t use that one in our windshield wash.

After the window is cleaned with the cloth covered sponge and window cleaner, take a portion of the newspaper and dry the entire window. The black and white portion of the newspaper is perfect for this business. It is cheap, it dries the window quickly and it doesn’t leave streaks. Your customer will appreciate it.

When the two cleaners are almost through, the spokesperson needs to approach the next vehicle, introduce self, and group and ask for the next job. Each windshield wash job takes as little as one minute to complete. After you do several jobs you will become efficient and get the job done quickly. Remember there will be others in your group doing the same thing so you can see profits mount up quickly.

Most people donate at least 50 cents some $1, yet others especially if they are affiliated with the group will donate $5 - $10. Yaweeeeee! I have found from our observations that our group averages $75.00 per hour. You may do more or less than what we did.

    Important helpful tips:

Use a grocery cart to place all of the used newspaper in for later disposal. Make sure you remove all trash from the site. Take it home for disposal and don’t use the stores trash cans. If you do, they will resent you for it and not let you come back.

Have the group director collect all of the cash. This person can go around to all of the spokespersons and collect the cash and oversee the operation.

Purchase new supplies needed from the cash you generate. This means less out of pocket expense for your group.
