The number of complaints about debt collectors is on the rise. From 13,950 reported to the Federal Trade Commission in 2000, the number has ballooned to over 66,000 in 2005. Recently, my colleague and I made one of our bi-monthly training trips to California. We considered it a “normal trip,” until something began to happen that quickly caught our attention: terrific customer service.We have made this trip so many times we have our routine down.
