Embarking on a workout routine and eating healthy is on most people’s minds. Their biggest complaints are that they don’t feel like exercising and they don’t have time to eat healthy. The ongoing question on their minds is “how do you stay focused and motivated?” That is the million-dollar question. If you can stay focused and motivated then discipline would be second nature. To answer that question I turned to some of the most focused and dedicated people I know. Athletes, an athlete stays motivated and rarely takes their eye off of the finish line. You and I may not want that, but we do want something. Do you want to see your child graduate and raise a family? Make a commitment to them. This could be a personal trainer, a long time friend or a professional coach. Find someone who is committed to you keeping your commitment to yourself.

Three: being part of a winning team. There is nothing more exciting than to be part of a winning team. It is energizing and will make it easier to follow through. Part of the reason is that we keep our commitments to others and when your team is counting on you, it isn’t something you will take lightly. Where do you find a team?
