Public Support for Clean Industry and High-Tech Economic Business Models
Every economic development association that wishes to recruit high-tech businesses and set up high-tech business parks must make sure that it has the public support necessary to recruit such businesses. With more and more regions in our nation trying to recruit companies there seems to be more and more deals being made by state agencies, county commissioners and local city councils. The high-tech companies know this and often take advantage of these programs to fund their business expansion and save millions of dollars on taxes.Often a high-tech company will have offers from many different counties in regions in many different states. Of course it behooves the company in their shareholders to seek the very best deal possible, but if these economic development association's compete, more often than not the end up giving away millions of dollars in tax incentives. This can cause animosity, political unrest and even turnover in the next election if it is not handled properly. A strong public support campaign with proper publicity will be necessary in advance to sitting down at the negotiating table. An economic development association may be competing against another state, county or city, which is able to give away better incentives and economic favors. This is why high-tech companies often shop around for the best possible deal, which helps them with funding business expansion and insures them seamless cooperation with local government entities. All too often the business community feels burned by over regulation, excessive oversight and belligerent code enforcement. It is for this reason that with proper public support in advance and in the media with a proper public relations campaign that an economic development association can secure a large high-tech company with high-paying jobs to its region. If public support is not there, then another region will most likely be able to out compete and therefore ultimately end up securing the companies of their choice. Consider this in 2006.

AP and IB - Good or Bad?
After a nice Holiday break, we finally get down to some new topics.Being a high school student myself, when I first heard that my school had the available IB program (For those who do not know, the IB program or International Baccalaureate program, is an internationally recognized educational program, similar to the AP program, that allows students to get a heightened education. Upon completion of the program, the student receives a Diploma, the program can potentially have more prestige than the AP program because the IB program is recognized around the world. For more information on the IB program visit their website at IBO.org) I was delighted to have the opportunity to participate in the prestigious program. However, after going through the advocating process at my school, and trying to make my case as to why I should be allowed to pursue a distance program as a substitute for the regular English class, I have started to think about whether the IB or AP program is right for me. The pro’s and con’s of this situation have been discussed in numerous books and websites, including my most recent read The Overachievers: The Secret Lives of Driven Kids .This problem faces many of our gifted youth today, the seemingly obvious choice is to go with the AP or IB program, they will look really good on the college application; however, the AP and IB programs may not be right for every gifted child. For starters the courses are extremely rigorous. The course load is tough and the challenges that face the students in these courses are not to be scoffed at. I had to take a good look at myself and decide whether I could take the challenge, especially because I have not really experienced an extremely tough course load in the past. The AP and IB programs are not for the faint of heart, and even though many gifted students are extremely motivated, every student should ask themselves whether they are ready for the challenge. Secondly, the IB and AP courses may not offer the kind of challenge that your gifted child may want. This was and still is the big question for me. Will the AP and IB courses offer an environment that is both stimulating and challenging? Will the peers in the AP and IB courses allow me to have in-depth discussion and analysis? Will the teachers understand my gifted personality and allow me to be creative in their classroom? Your gifted student should ask themselves this, and if they are not satisfied with the answer, then maybe he or she should look into other programs such as the EPGY Online High School .The best way to
Dis-ease is a very apparent state in the lives of many if not most humans it seems. To be healthy, content , positive and alive seems to be the exception rather than the norm. I have a weekend job where I can sit and observe the public coming and going in a health care setting and so many people, young and middle age, reflect the look and behaviors of poor health and attitudes. Many, and dare I say most of those who walk through the door are overweight. They waddle and strain to get from point A to point B. They breathe hard under the exertion it took to get them from their car to the lobby and they have that “going through the motions” look on their face. Whole families come in carrying a bag of burgers or donuts in one hand and a quart of soda in the other, eating as they go. They yell at their kids and the kids yell back.

Many teens dress like they must feel with dirty and ill-matched clothing, more often as not advertising some product they don't even own for some company. Who the hell got humans to wear clothes with words on them anyway? Probably the same people who get us to buy WATER in bottles for the same price as water with the ingredients for a soda, but without the ingredients. Now that is a marketing coup if ever there was one! Did you know you can fill a bottle 1000 times at a drinking fountain for the same cost as what you just bought that bottled water for? Oh well, nuther topic I suppose. When a trim, healthy, positive and relatively happy person walks through the door, it is noticeable because it is so rare.

What's wrong with us as a people? I dare say that most of our outward health problems are the direct result of our inward emotional disturbances and some research shows just how important it is to be very careful of the attitudes and emotions we nurture and the water we drink.

    The Water Within Us

“Water is the universal medium for all biological activity. Nearly two-thirds of the human body and one-half of each of our organs, by volume, consists of water. This amounts to approximately 10 gallons of water, largely enclosed within trillions of cells. Increasing evidence indicates that the water within living cells is highly structured, arranged in various intermolecular conformations held together by extensive hydrogen bonding networks, giving it quite different properties and behavior from bulk water. It appears, further, that the structuring of cellular water is critical to the healthy chemical function of the cell.” HeartMath Research Center

In short, water has memory and is a mediator of the signals that our emotions and attitudes send around and through every organ in our body. Other experiments with water show that the frozen crystaline structure of water responds to the vibrational environment it finds itself in. For example, water that is exposed to negative emotions, words or rancorous music shows a deformed and ugly crystaline form under a microscope. Water crystals that are exposed to positive emotions, attitudes and vibrations (everything and everyone gives off vibes as they say), show a near perfect snowflake like structure that is beautiful and complete. As noted in the movie, What the Bleep Do We Know, “Makes ya think doesn't it.”

In short, and sounding silly perhaps, but none the less true, drinking your water from a container with a smiley face on it, or that comes from a pleasant environment may be a far wiser choice than drinking from a container that carries a corporate logo that subconsciously makes you angry or a has a skull and crossbones on it! I had a client who had a full body tatoo of the crucifixion on his back, complete with giant cross and bleeding Jesus. He was not that old, but walked like he, himself, was the one being crucified. The emotional vibration of that tatoo was translating into how he looked, talked and acted, and how he looked, talked and acted, prompted him to put such a tatoo on his body in the first place, no doubt. His inner self was manifesting itself outwardly and he was caught in a cycle of emotional negativity. I imagine the music, water and people in his life matched all this as well.

We live in a world of Dis-Ease. Aside from DNA, germs, viruses, bacteria and poor choices, what might be a more underlying cause of the many malfunctions of the human body we experience, often at a time in life where we should be experiencing the opposite? Let's look at the possible emotional and vibrational causes of some common ailments. If our biography can indeed affect our biology, then the vibrational environment we allow ourselves to be in, and by that I mean, the music we listen to, the people we hang around, the topics we wallow in and the anger we can't let go of, may be a major key to our literal survival at a cellular level.

Let's take a look at what can go wrong with our joints and bones.

Why a Mortgage Refinance No Closing Cost Loan is the Only Way to Go
Are you shopping for a refinance mortgage and are you looking for the best possible deal that you can get? Do you want to know why you should get a mortgage refinance, no closing cost loan? Everybody should have a mortgage without closing cost and here are 3 reasons why.First, you should not have to pay a bank or lender more than the interest they are already going to collect on your loan. Now if you are using a mortgage broker you should expect to pay a broker fee for their services. They are going to be able to search many different lenders and programs for your mortgage refinance, no closing cost loan, so you should pay them a fee.Second, typically the lenders closing costs are just extra profits and commissions for the loan officer. They say they are points and they buy your rate down, but it just is not true. Why should you pay extra when they are already making thousands of dollars off the interest of your loan?Last, you need to understand that what fees you have to pay and just cannot get around. You are going to have to pay a title search fee, appraisal fee, and a few other processing fees, but these are all under $500 each and if they are not you are getting ripped off. You should never pay points, a lender fee, or an origination fee. These are all terms for lender profits that you are paying directly into their pocket. Now you have an understanding of what you should be willing to pay and what you should avoid paying. Make sure you get your mortgage refinance, no closing cost loan for your home. You will be able to lower your rate and get out of paying the fees you should not have to pay.

Online Dating Blunders - The Top 10 Mistakes Men Make When Contacting Women Online
Here are the top ten things that you should avoid when contacting women online. This will be the most important online dating and relationship advice that you read all year.Mistake #1: Sending her 'just' a wink Most internet dating sites let you send "winks" or "show interest" for free. But what does this say to her about you? When that really hot girl gets your wink, she sees a guy that's not serious about wanting to contact her and too cheap to fork over the $20 membership fee. What a wonderful way to start off a relationship... Not!She also knows that a wink is an easy "cop-out". Anyone can scroll through hundreds of online profiles and wink at everything that moves. So, from her perspective, why should she spend time on you when there are dozens of guys taking the time to send her real messages every day?Mistake #2: Not having a recent QUALITY photo in your profile This one should be easy, but the fact is, most men do not upload their photo. The statistics on this one are very clear. Profiles with photos get 10 times more looks than those without; and profiles with QUALITY photos get 4 times more looks than profiles with poor photos.Let me ask you... When you log on to a dating site and search, don't you search for women with photos in their profile first? Why would she be any different? Many women will assume that you have something to hide if you won't post your photo – like maybe your wife...If you don't like your photo, have a professional one made. There are many professional photo services that do nothing but create great photos for your online dating profile. If you want to stand a chance against the other guys out there, upload a good quality photo. Oh, one more extremely important note – make sure that you upload a RECENT photo. Nothing is more disappointing than to meet someone and realize that the picture they sent you was 20 years and 40 pounds ago!Mistake #3: Sending a message with a boring subject Fact #1: Guys out number girls by at least two to one on most online dating sites and that's a conservative number.Fact #2: Good looking girls get dozens of winks and messages in any given day.You can have the most awesome profile and you can send her the most intriguing message, but she may never see it because you failed to capture her interest with the subject of your email.Give her a reason to open your message first! It has to stand out among all th
