Secrets That Will Make You Rich
I don’t like long boring introductions so hello and here we go…You have already experienced the first golden secret which is why you’re reading this small article. You may think you have a great idea but you have to get OPA OTHER PEOPLES ATTENTION. That is exactly what the title does here, short and to the point.Next you have to make it irresistible to whomever you’re selling the product, service or idea to. I know that seems obvious but let me assure you; your enthusiasm alone will not get that holiday home in the long run.The ground rules for knowing HOW to make something irresistible are actually very simple. In spite of all the latest company “buzz-words” the emotions drive the actions NOT the other way around.Would you say that it is the left (logic) side of the brain that drive’s a manager’s decision on any given working day? Those of you who thought no…read on, those of you who thought yes well done!Take a closer look…Why is ANYONE at work? To pay bills…well that’s because we all have to. To succeed in business? Not really because most of the time it’s not YOUR business. It is ALL down to collecting a voucher/s we call money! It is a perceived “value” of this electronic set of numbers, this plastic passport to debt, this paper representation of perceived wealth. What is driving all of this is the “need” to be ab
However, this only gets me half way to getting quoted. I have learned that having a consistent message that resonates with my media contacts is the other half of the equation. I have a consistent message albeit one for my photography and one for my professional speaking.

Thank God for Small Blessings Like Ice Cream
The blazing heat of summer as well the frequent heat waves that racks the state has brought back the popularity of ice cream as a way to escape the heat. Not only that, it seems that sugar free and fat free ice creams are losing ground in favor of the old tasty, sweet and full ice creams we liked so much when we were kids. This is not really so surprising. With the increasing problems we are having with the economy and the increasing pressure to manage our finances, ice creams represents a cheap and effective way to chase away the blues. This is the reason why ice cream manufacturers and ice cream vendors are having a field day selling the old style ice cream with some relatively new additions like the smoothies that includes frozen custard, a variation of the old style ice cream with egg as an additional flavoring. These relatively new ice creams production process reverts back to the old fashioned way of ice cream production which is hand mixed and home made. As always, ice creams are popular because not only are they delicious, there are also a lot of things different in the ice creams of today. One remarkable thing in the ice cream business is the general mood of people when they come inside an ice cream parlor. As people look for ice cream when they are in the mood to treat themselves, people buying these desserts are often a happy bunc
What does public relations (PR) have to do with your and your business? It deserves to be more than just an afterthought. It should be an integral part of your business and has quite a bit to do with how your prospective customers perceive you and your products. Also, it is a way for you to practice your messaging in order to see which messages or concepts resonate with the media and ultimately with your customers.

Over the last 19 months, I have been quoted or featured by 20 different news organizations in such publications as The Washington Post, MSNBC, AP (Associated Press ), Spirit (the In-flight Magazine for Southwest Airlines), Better Homes and Gardens, Monster.com, Shutterbug Magazine Radio, and The Washington Business Journal. Many of these publications are national in scope and have increased my recognition and the ability to attract more business.

How did I get access to these media organizations? First I was able to sign up with an on-line publicity firm called PR Leads. PR Leads allows me to pitch the media when they need help completing a story with information in my area of expertise. However, this only gets me half way to getting quoted. I have learned that having a consistent message that resonates with my media contacts is the other half of the equation. I have a consistent message albeit one for my photography and one for my professional speaking.

How To Become a Mortgage Broker
The mortgage industry accounted for $1,815,949,279,000 in loan transactions in 2004. That's one trillion, eight hundred and fifteen billion, nine hundred and forty-nine million, two hundred and seventy nine thousand dollars... in one year!Mortgage brokers average better than 1% commission on every transaction...so a conservative estimate is $18,159,492,790 to the mortgage industry in commissions last year. Eighteen billion is a lot of money to go around.Consider a profession that doesn't require any formal schooling yet offers a six-figure plus income potential to any broker who wants it.Here's how the business works...A mortgage broker acts as the middle man between a borrower and a lender. The broker bridges the communication gap between the technical requirements of the lender and the non-technical demand of the borrower. And here's the best part...mortgage brokers get a cut of every loan they close. The upside for this profession is nearly unlimited. Once you've reached a high monthly income level from your mortgage commissions you can move into other areas of the business and make huge amounts of money.Buying second mortgages, funding choice loans yourself and buying real estate investment properties are just a few examples of the opportunities for expansion that are available to successful mortgage brokers.for you to practice your messaging in order to see which messages or concepts resonate with the media and ultimately with your customers.

Is Your Company Ready for The Bird Flue Pandemic?
Many people believe it will never happen, that a Bird Flu Pandemic killing millions of people racing through the country cannot occur. Yet in recent history; the last 400 years there have countless incidents where pandemics have wiped out millions of people and very rapidly too. The United States has the best chance of many people surviving such an incredible pandemic, but we are not without risk. Many of the customs in the United States, such as shaking hands, kissing, etc can be problematic for spreading the Bird Flu Virus is a notable human strain develops and it very well could too. The 1918 Influenza Pandemic killed millions in Europe and also many in the United States. Some say a viral strain of the Bird Flu could easily kill millions now in the present period due to the closeness of human populations, air-travel and the fact that many cities have very dense populations. Consider some of the major cities in the World Today.A Bird Flu Pandemic could travel to 5 continents in a few days and end up everywhere in the World in a few more. The CDC is extremely worried and in fact the United States Government has already developed a worstcase scenario plan to deal with such an unfortunate potential eventuality. Is your family safe? Do you have a plan to protect them? Consider this in 2006.

The Types of Business Organizations Part 2
The other type of business organization is the limited liability organization. These entities can take many forms. These forms are: (1) a limited liability partnership; (2) a limited liability company; (3) a limited liability limited partnership; and (4) a corporation. Note that there are various forms of corporations (such as an S-corporation, a close corporation, and a closely-held corporation), but these are conversations for another day.Like the unlimited liability entities, these limited liability entities have pros and cons. First, and most obviously, these limited liability companies, as the name suggests, limits your liability. You are liable (some exceptions apply such as piercing the corporate veil) only up to the amount of your investment. Therefore, if you investment two thousand dollars ($2,000) into a corporation, and the company has debts, you are only liable up to your two thousand dollar ($2000) investment.Second, all of these entities, except a corporation, are not subject to double taxation. Unfortunately, a corporation is subject to this double taxation. For example, if the company makes X amount of dollars, the corporation is taxed on these dollars. In addition to being taxed on that money, any distributions the corporation makes to shareholders is also taxed. Therefore, the same dollar is getting taxed twice.<

Leather Briefcase - Your Office in a Bag
Nothing screams elegance like good quality leather. The quintessential marks of success are good leather briefcases. In the days of old, leather briefcases were mainly used to carry legal briefs to court. Now, however, they exude quality and professionalism, and have since significantly evolved into a status symbol. The Evolution of the BriefcaseLeather briefcases were originally designed after the limp satchels of the 14th century. These satchels were used to carry money and valuables. In 1826, a Frenchman named Godillot designed the first hinged iron frame of leather briefcases. Subsequently, the Gladstone and the oval-topped Rosebury followed suit. These made way for the popular metal-framed leather briefcases that open like laptops. The essential tools of business have undergone drastic changes through the years. Not to be left behind, so have leather briefcases. What used to be just paper-friendly compartments and exteriors now include special compartments for gadgets while still retaining paper space. Large flaps are usually featured, designed to give the leather briefcases a more streamlined look by concealing the gadget pouches.A Workdesk in a BagLeather briefcases not only carry your important documents, they can also hold cellular phones, handheld computers, laptops, computer disks, business cards, and

During this time, I have responded to 112 queries in the following categories ... work/life balance, creativity, presentation skills and photography. The reason I chose these categories is simple. I work with people and organizations to increase their communication power through my unique photography angle. I do this through my creative keynotes (work/life balance, creativity and photography) and through my powerful presentations skills.

Out of the 112 queries, I was able to garner 34 responses for a 30% response rate (nearly 1 in 3). A good first step to a query is getting a response of any kind. It's much like a positive phone call might elicit a prospective customer to ask you what you do. Sometimes the media contacts have plenty of information from other sources. Other times I find out that my expertise or my angle isn't quite right for the story. Also, many of the pitches to the media are often to freelancers. These freelancers in turn pitch their stories to their media contacts. This adds another layer as to whether or not you will get quoted by a news organization. All of the potential rejection keeps
