You, Your Self Estem, and Its Importance in Your Growth!
IntroductionDid your boss, took you for a ride? Did your girlfriend/ boyfriend ditch you? Did your friends take you for granted? And you feel that you are useless and you feel that they are hurting your self esteem.Understanding Self-EsteemTo understand self-esteem, it helps to break the term into two words. Let's take a look at the word esteem first. Esteem is a fancy word for thinking that someone or something is important or valuing that person or thing. And self, means, you. So when you put the two words together, it's easier to see what self-esteem is. It's how much you value yourself and how important you think
"Without this playing with fantasy no creative work has ever yet come to birth. The debt we own to the play of the imagination is incalculable." Carl Jung

It started a couple months ago. I spotted a chandelier from a dozen feet away at one of my favorite shops downtown. Charmed immediately, my mind raced on how I could possibly talk my husband, Ernie, into buying it for me—or even worse, how I could sneak it home and surprise (no…shock) him with it later. Made of black rod-iron—with a primitive brass rooster suspended between a couple of curlicued edges, it “spoke to me” and I knew I had to find a place for it in my home. Trouble was: it was non-electrified. Candles only. While this certainly added to its innate charm—for me anyway—I knew that it’d be a hard sell for my husband. That it’d be the deal-breaker. Too impractical. Too unnecessary. Too French.

I kept my eye on it, visiting the shop every week or so to be sure no one had bought “my” chandelier. When it went on “clearance” ten days before my birthday, I practically jumped out of my skin. I knew a New York dealer would snatch it up and re-sell it in the city for more than double, with the lucky buyer still feeling like she found the deal of the century.

When I not-so-subtlety informed Ernie that night—at his own birthday celebration—that I found what I wanted for my birthday, he retorted, with some annoyance, that it was highly inappropriate for me to talk about my materialistic desires while we were celebrating his big day. As (almost) always, he was right. I blew it.

Unbeknownst to me, our oldest son, Nick, and Ernie strategized and that week, Nick went to the shop, bought the chandelier, had it wrapped, and hid it in our house until we celebrated my birthday the next week. Needless to say, I couldn’t have been more delighted that this charming new addition was about to be a part of our home.

This is a great invention that helps you keep everything in the right place, and also easily accessible. On the other hand, if you are rather disorganized, you will surely appreciate vinyl binders for another reason. How Important is Mobile / SMS?
There is a nice television commercial that is being shown currently on the Indian TV channels. The Nokia advertisement seeks to dispel the commonly held notion that phones are used just for talking. A number of applications are shown, including video recording, still photos, MP3 music, FM radio and of course text messages. Though text messaging is a big improvement on the pager (remember it?), today it feels impossible to live without it.For the younger generation, life is unimaginable without a mobile phone. For them it is like an extension of their hands, a handy tool to say so many things. The young people have devised a peculiar lin

Ever Seen An Actual Traffic 'Swarm?': Part 1
Traffic swarms (obviously as in 'swarms of traffic') are beyond gorgeous when you own your own site. And in this article, I'm going to show you EXACTLY how to actually see one.First though, I'm not going to lie to you and say that I only check my hit counter "when the mood hits."No way.I watch my HIT COUNTER like a HAWK because I want to know EXACTLY where my traffic is coming from, how long they stay (Page Views) and which pages they LEAVE FROM. Knowing this info allows me to better monetize the pages that are heavily favored and pay less attention to those that are just 'ok.' Your visitors know best! And the
