Envelope Suppliers said that the most important asset they had was their customers. The CRM expert wanted to talk to the customers. In fact, what he really wanted was for the factory managers to go out and listen to their customers, but he had to sell the idea first. So, off he went to the biggest customer. In order to see the supply chain at first hand he decided that he should travel with the van driver who made the Envelopes are in great demand for commercial and personal use. To meet these demands suppliers procure different types of envelopes from various manufacturers and sell them to commercial establishments or to households. Some suppliers make envelopes entirely out of synthetic materials, while a few suppliers sell envelopes made exclusively from recycled paper.Various shapes, sizes, colors, styles and materials are available for custom-made envelopes and bulk orders. Most manufacturers showcase their product via various marketing strategies, and through Internet, promising quality on deadline and in some cases, door-to-door delivery. Specialty envelopes for holidays and special occasions are often handled for bulk buyers who request custom printing of logo, address etc on envelopes. Once upon a time there was a factory that produced nuts, bolts and washers. There was a highly efficient production line dedicated to each, and each production line ended in an area called Assembly. In Assembly were a group of workers who put the nuts, bolts and washers together before they were despatched to the customer. Each worker sat at a bench. In front of them were three boxes, containing nuts, bolts and washers. They took the components, put them together and then dropped them into a fourth box situated on the floor behind them. One of the toughest career decisions for high school students and their parents is whether to get a job and settle down in that for the rest of their lives or to continue their studies in college. Three to five decades up the line, this would not have been a question at all that would make you lose sleep. The post World War II era saw many industries flourish and needing workers to "man" their businesses. That was when they took high school graduates and trained them for routine jobs, mostly on factory floors. The Present Scenario: Will It Support High School Graduates? The rise of technological advances, fast paced work styles catering to newfound lifestyles and the latest buzzword globalization in the last two decades has changed the present job market scenario entirely.High school children of WW II veterans who got easy jobs were trained by their employers for specific jobs. But, judging by his daily fee, he really was a consultant. This chap reviewed all of the operations. There was nothing he could do to improve the production lines; they were already very efficient. But when he arrived in the assembly department he had an idea that would make things better. The consultant arranged to have holes drilled into each bench. These were special holes. At the bottom they were in the shape of the bolts. Above that they widened out to accommodate the washer. This meant that the assembly workers could put the nut, bolt and washer together using just one hand. Or, as the consultant explained, the assemblers could now do two jobs at the same time, which meant that they only needed half as many people. This was used by the consultant to justify his big fat fee. He took his cheque, thanked the management and left. Some time later the factory management were talking to a CRM expert. But when he arrived in the assembly department he had an idea that would make things better.Prospecting is an art. While you may be a natural at getting prospects for your business, it usually takes some time and practice to finally be able to find them for your business, and do the right thing once you’ve got them. To be really good at it will take some planning and preparation on your part, but once you’ve done it often enough, it will become second nature. You first have to understand the 5Ws, or the Who/What/When/Where/Why/How of prospecting before you can lead your prospects to success. What is prospecting? Prospecting is the art of going out and finding new customers for your business, and a new team for your downline. This can mean signing up people you know, or signing up complete strangers to your program, and then teaching them to do what you have done to advertise and expose your business.Who are your prospects? Your prospects are people from all walks of life. They can be the war The consultant arranged to have holes drilled into each bench. These were special holes. Is the competition so tough that they have to cheat or having they just been cheatings their way through school and in everything they do in life anyway and so what is a little white lie on top of a white piece of paper? We see lies on resumes in the private sector as well as of the public sector. You would think that people would realize that eventually they will get caught, but instead they take the risk. Recently there was a person who was the head of Department of Homeland security computer department who lied about the school she went to and the degree she had earned. The degree she had was a piece of paper from a school, which she never attended, but did send them a check to get the diploma. These diploma mills are part of the lack of integrity that we fi Some time later the factory management were talking to a CRM expert. The National Association for Shoplifting Prevention (NASP) estimates that U.S. retailers lose over $10 billion annually from shoplifting alone, a figure that translates to $25 million every single day! However, in recent years the packaging industry has begun to introduce new methods that have helped deter theft. Through the use of clamshell and blister packaging, manufacturers have been able to help retailers in their quest to minimize theft.Made from a variety of different types of plastic, such as PVC, Polystyrene, Polyethylene PET or Recycled Polyethylene RPET, clamshell and blister packages are sealed around the edges of the package, making it extremely difficult for thieves to steal a product by taking it out of its package while still in the store. They had a long chat about the quality of the products, the timeliness of deliveries, the accuracy of the invoices and the layout of the quality certificates. He was then given a guided tour of the works. They had one big assembly unit and one small pre-assembly shop. In the pre-assembly shop sat a group of workers at a big bench. On the bench sat one of the large boxes that the van driver had just delivered and three smaller boxes. Each worker was taking units out of the box, unscrewing them, and then placing the nuts, bolts and washers into each of the three smaller boxes. But this is just a fairy story. Why? Because CRM and the whole Customer Relationship Management idea has been hijacked by the database manufacturers. What was once the simple but highly effective philosophy of getting feedback from your customers is now just another computerised three-letter-acronym database being sold by the likes of Oracle and Sieble. The database lineage probably began with MRP (material requirement planning), which begat MRPII (manufacturing resource planning), which begat ERP (enterprise resource planning) with SAP on the side (and nobody even knows what SAP stands for). It’s a fairy story because a “CRM expert” would never suggest listening to the customers. Many years ago, back in the ‘70’s, I worked for a firm that supplied M&S with clothing. It was the most successful company in its field, supplying M&S when
