Naming your business is probably the second thing you’ll do when you start it, right after you decide what sort of business it will be. It’s a decision that you’ll have to live with every day so here’s something to think about before you print up those business cards.Names don’t matter. Really, there is no correlation between the success of a business and it’s name. Only the first time or two that someone hears the name of your company will the words have any meaning. After that, it becomes a collection of sounds.Maybe the first time you heard the name Nike you associated it with the goddess of victory, and that’s only i
Your head is swimming, you have been promised thousands of dollars, downlines that will be built for you, products that will change your life, an opportunity to achieve your wildest dreams. Wow and you only had asked the simple question "is starting a home based business for me?"

How do you even begin to piece together the massive amounts of information you've been given so that you can decide which opportunity is best for you?

You need to begin weeding out some of the offers you’ve found. I will tell you one of the first places to start weeding out, are those offers without contact information. If you do not have a name, a phone number and an email address, of the person offering you the opportunity, get rid of it. I can guarantee you if the person doesn't want to be known there is a reason.

Next, you can weed out those offers that promise to do the work for you. In all my years of working at home I have never found an opportunity that paid you to do nothing. Some opportunities hint at someone else doing all the work for you (we’ll fill your downline for you). Helping others is great. I help others every day of my life. I write articles that help others. The concept of Permission Marketing
Permission marketing can be broadly defined as " Taking permission from potential consumers before sending them an advertisement about your product". By giving an option to a potential consumer, to agree to gain information about your product, the marketer has the advantage of using his resources to target only interested entities. Some excerpts from Seth Godin's views on permission marketing-The biggest problem with mass-market advertising, Godin says, is that it fights for people's attention by interrupting them. A 30-second spot interrupts a "Seinfeld" episode. A telemarketing call interrupts a family dinner. A print ad interru

    The Fine Art of Delegation
In today's busy world, one of the best ways to get more time for those top-priority projects is by delegating some of the lower-priority work to someone else. (If you're able to eliminate it, that's even better.)Now, I don't know about you, but many people are reluctant or afraid to delegate some of their work.Do any of these reasons sound familiar?* Nobody can do this work as well as I can.* If I delegate this work, there's no guarantee that it'll get done properly.* If someone else does this better than I do, my job may no longer be secure.* I don't have time to teach someone else how to do it.*

The next batch of offers you can weed out are the envelope stuffing offers. It saddens me on a daily basis to hear folks tell me their money was stolen by an envelope stuffing scam. Of course there is no way to get your money back and no way to reach the person you sent the money to. I have never found one of these to be legitimate, nor have I ever talked to anyone who has found an envelope stuffing offer to be legitimate.

At this point what you should be left with for the most part are very legitimate offers of home based businesses. If the company offers a product or service you would not use or purchase, don’t consider the opportunity. Put yourself in the shoes of the folks you'll be talking to. Would you purchase something the seller has not used, and does not wish to use?

Now you can begin comparing what I feel are the key factors in choosing a company for you.
