Of that 35 million; 59.8% were born here or 21.1 million. There are 40.2% here legally who were foreign born or 14.1 million. That is a hell of a lot of potential customers, isn't it? You could actu

How to be a Shoulder Angel
In order to be UNFORGETTABLE, you must have your own philosophy. A lens. A paradigm. A system. A unique method or expertise unlike anyone else in your industry.I call this a “School of Thought,” and it all started when my best friend, mentor and former 10th grade English teacher, William Jenkins, once asked me an extremely powerful
If you aren't Blogging yet, get started! Blogging is a fast and easy way to inform interested parties about your area of expertise. In addition, a big plus of Blogging is that Blog posts are picked up much faster by search engines than new Web pages.

I use and recommend Google's Blogger as an easy to use platform that allows even the most techno challenged to begin and grow a successful Blog. The new Beta Version @ http://beta.blogger.com is even easier to use and allows more customization than the older platform.

Here are some basics you need to consider when working on your Blog:

    1. Buy a descriptive domain name and have it point at the Blogger URL for your Blog. This let's you market your Blog as a unique entity while reflecting the tone and intent of your blog. Try something catchy and memorable.
    2. Make sure you sign up for all the RSS feed hubs that your target market is probably using. You've probably noticed these graphics, called chicklets, on most Blogs for My Yahoo, Google, My MSN, Newsgator, etc.

      Leading Change; It's 24-7
Change has been occurring since before the beginning of man, so it is a fair bet that it will not stop soon. How Newcomers Can Overcome Advertising Agency Reality
Hopefully you have a pretty good idea that ad agency reality tells you that agencies are NOT waiting patiently for your arrival. As wonderful a writer as your family and your friends have convinced you that you are, agencies will somehow survive without you. This is hardly professional sports where athletes are groomed to 'come up' at a

          The Art of Website Storytelling
Marketing and its little brother advertising are all about storytelling. It doesn't matter if you are talking about a display ad for a magazine or a Web-video for your website or for a Google Video Ad, if it doesn't tell a story then it's not going to do the job. When people asked us what we did, we used to tell them we were a website d

          He Said She Said
Have you heard the joke, why is it that a man will pay $2 for a $1 item he wants and a woman will pay $1 for a $2 item that she doesn't want? Subtle gender differences in behavior, especially in communication, also appear in the selling arena. We should be aware of these differences to make our sel

Pinging is when you post new content, the various services that check for updated Blog content get Pinged automatically when you update. This Ping notifies these services that there is something new on your Blog. Sort of like search engines for Blogs.
        7. Offer the ability to subscribe to your Blog and get posts by e-mail. Some folks just won't make it to your Blog to see what's new -- make it easy for them!
        8. When typing your posts, make sure to use a catchy title as that is the first thing folks will see when your updates are posted. You want to create a title that will attract their attention while, if possible, integrating keyword phrases about your main focus.
        9. It is very important, especially if you are Blogging for business, that you use proper sentence structure, grammar and check for typos. Blogger has a built-in spell check. Use it!
