Two, it ensures that no one else will take your must-have name before you do.

When choosing a domain name, make sure you are choosing something that will be easy to remember for your visitors and something that means something to your business. For example, Ford Models’ domain name is www.fordmodels.com. It’s easy to remember and the business name is spelt out which makes you instantly recognize what it is for. In the case of my own website, even though www.bsetc.ca may not tell you what the website is right away, it is still the initials that I use when talking about my business in the short form. I often make reference to BSETC in that manner so people will begin to remember my website’s domain name.
