Workplace Stress - Could Identifying Body Language Help Reduce It?
Being able to understand and recognize body talk is becoming more necessary and useful in todays' workplace. It can make the difference between getting a client or not. It provides information that should never be ignored because in the end, it could damage the performance of a company. For example: if during a presentation you notice the client is drumming his pen on the table -- a sign of boredom, or his feet are crossed -- a sign his mind is closed, then you aren't following the cues. Not knowing what your clients or others are thinking could seriously damage your business and future business relationships. Knowing when to change strategies is the lynch pin to securing an account. Here's a prime example: "During a negotiation meeting with union leaders, a manager whispered to his colleague that an agreement was about to be reached and hence they need not relax their conditio

Making Time for Team Building Relationships
If you have ever been in conversation with someone who was being continually interrupted, how did you feel? I guess you felt pretty devalued by their lack of focus on you, what you were saying and the issues you were discussing. In the busy lives we lead it is so difficult not to get disturbed. Here are some incidences of what you might look out for and beneath, some ideas on how you can do it differently:-Letting the phone take priority Having poor boundaries such that others disturb you whatever you would wish for Letting your boss do this to you Having an 'always open door' policy Not apologising and getting back to people if it is that urgent you must be disturbed Failing to keep appointments for one-to-ones Being distracted (checking e-mails when on the phone is typical) Talking too much Raising your own issues rather than li
As part of your asset protection strategy you may wish to utilize an offshore merchant account to process credit card sales for your business. Fees are going to vary depending on volume and what you are selling. For a merchant account in an offshore (friendly) country the cost is usually 4.00% – 8.50% depending on product, average ticket, etc. The merchant account introduction is $495.00.

If the chargeback rate exceeds 1% or 2% depending on the company, the account is subject to closure. Sometimes, note we said sometimes, the merchant account company will not close your account but instead work with you to reduce chargeback’s if your rate is 3% or less. This is not an absolute but usually they will attempt to help you reduce chargeback’s. This can be by blocking countries with high fraud rates, blocking proxy servers, doing telephone verification of orders etc. Be careful if you get a lot of chargebacks this is not for you. Inquire. We do not take adult, gambling, MLM, or illegal products.

When looking for a merchant account that is offshore be aware of unscrupulous companies that specialize in keeping merchants funds as their only real means of making profits. The scams are not really scams but you are set up to fail. A contract is created where you have to keep chargebacks down to 1%, the visa guidelines. Remember the average internet merchant gets about 3% in chargebacks so already by statistics you are doomed. The Power of Delighting a Customer
It used to be a priviledge when I could spend nights in great restaurants, all the while knowing someone else was picking up the check! As the President and owner of Chicago’s most prominent wine stores, I was usually the chosen one when producers and winemakers came to town.Several things have changed since those days. Most notably, I have less hair than before and we recently sold our wine stores. Those fancy meals are a fading memory; however, one meal, in particular, is still very clear. On that evening a famous Barolo wine producer was in town, so several of us ventured out for a semi-casual steak dinner And I witnessed something spectacular that improved my philosophy about caring about customers. At the next table were eight businessmen in town for their national convention, and they were having a grand time. They happened to order the Barolo wine produced by my din

Lieberman-Lamont Advertising and How It Relates to Small Businesses
When Ned Lamont first sought to challenge 3-term U.S. Sen. Joe Lieberman in today's Democratic primary, almost no one thought this political neophyte had any chance.Sitting on my back porch here in Connecticut, it's an hour before the polls close in this political duel between the well estabished, well-known brand (Lieberman) and the new, unknown brand (Lamont). The unknown (Lamont) has succeeded in making his alternative into a viable choice on a $4 million budget, compared to Lieberman's $6 million. Just running for office is a big business. Many of my clients would be happy with that kind of gross revenue! And so, with an incredible voter turnout of just over 40% (in August!!) both sides are saying it looks good for them. We'll know soon enough. Both have used TV and radio and direct phone calls. We even got an oversize postcard from Lieberman here at home.

Use The Global Reach Of eBay To Save Money
Maybe like you, when I need to purchase items I always do a search online first. Normally using two of my favourite websites, eBay and Google to search for a suitable item and get some idea of the appropriate cost. However, I've been making a mistake. An absolutely huge mistake. It will have cost me money over the years. Today, in a phone call with a friend I've only just realised it. It's like someone slapped me across the face.I thought I was saving myself time & effort, but it seems like I've been actually throwing money away, wasting time and putting in more effort than was necessary. It's not like I'm new to the internet, or even eBay or Google. I've written hundreds of articles on eBay, published three eBooks & complied an eBay mini course. Friends and family call me regularly and ask for assistance online, especially when dealing with eBay - even those
o already by statistics you are doomed. You are told and agree in writing to having your account closed down if you exceed this 1% figure and your funds held for six months. Now you start processing and shipping goods. They say they'll pay every two weeks but there is a two week holdback so that means four weeks until a wire is sent well OK what can you do so you start. Well at the end of the four weeks there are some more delays, perhaps you are told a wire will be sent, is sent, was sent, came back with wrong instructions, the correspondent bank has it, whatever. So now about six weeks goes by and you are still shipping and have no money. Ok so you call them up every day, scream at them etc and well by now your chargebacks are starting to come in at a good clip. Many of you reading this are hi-risk merchants and you know it. So then you are told your account is closed per the agreement and come back in six months for your funds.

Can you sue them? Sure, but they are in an offshore country remember which means you have to go there, hire a lawyer, post a bond for court costs and face the written agreement you signed with them while they are calling you a fraudster in their court, saying you exceeded visa guidelines endangering their account with visa, etc. Odds of winning are slim and the cost will be $25,000 plus by the time you get a court date and that will probably be a few years down the road and don't forget you just shipped six weeks of orders all with no money coming in. OK now you realize you aren't going to sue them. You decide to play the “I hope game” commonly found in scams and wait the six months out. Well now some of your money has dwindled away in charge backs that are uncontested because they aren't going to was
