    When I first got started 3 months ago in list building, I thought I might be able to get to 50 cents or even 75 cents per subscriber. I mean, that’s what the big boys are doing, right?

    This is what I am doing:

    1) I write my own emails. I have found through experience that my response rates are up to 10 times higher when I write the email myself, rather than use the prewritten email from the affiliate program.

    2) I write to my subscribers with the same tone of voice that I would use with you if we were both sitting on my front porch watching the sun go down one evening, drinking a glass of iced tea. I simply talk to people in my emails like I am writing now - very conversationally - the same way I do with my friends. I don’t change anything online.

    3) I only mail my subscribers useful information. I want my subscribers to always have a great experience when they are reading my emails. If you are on a lot of lists, you no doubt have days where the same affiliate email goes out to you from like 10 different email lists. I generally don’t participate in that stuff - the product must be really, really good!
