Cut to the Quick - What is an Entrepreneur? The Inside Story
Enjoying the title of entrepreneur is a hollow feeling. If you have ever been out of work and joined a multi level marketing outfit, or joined the ranks of "commission only" sales reps you are considered to be an entrepreneur.I call it hollow, because the word resonates within us on some fundamental level. Images of independance and success beckon to us as we

    Domain Names
A good rule to follow is to choose a domain name the same as your website name. The reason for this is that when others think of your website address, they will think of it by the actual name of your website. If your domain name is the same as your website name it will be easier for people to type in the right URL to your website. The name of your website should ob
I have been trolling through various forums lately and one of the more common lament’s seem to be people are on too many email lists.

So what keeps people subscribed to lists that they really would prefer not to be on but are too afraid to get off?

It’s the fear of missing out on something. This seems to be a very strong driver of people’s actions. They would prefer to have their email addresses clogged up with ‘promotional spam’ rather than miss out on the next big thing. What a strange mob we are! And I’m no different.

I’m on lists that email me every day, and while I enjoy their pithy comments on occasions, more often than not I’m having the ‘next big thing’ offered to me with a ‘one time only’ offer.

I suppose this works because I do click through each and every time. Frankly, it’s driving me nuts but I’m too scared of missing out on that final piece of the puzzle that ‘clicks in’ and gets me to where I want to get to faster with an easier way to do it. So I continue t

Chiming the Crime of Lost Time
If you're a consultant, solopreneur, or an information marketer—making a one-time small sale may not be in your best interest. Sure you get a charge by contributing to someone else's business. And sure it's nice to pick up a new client. But if you know you'll never hear from them again, it may be better to turn them down to concentrate on hooking bigger fish.Am I nu

How to Stop Overwhelm in Your Holistic Business
We have many roles in life. Not only are we business owners, but we’re moms, dads, siblings, friends, sons and daughters. All of our roles share space with the limited amount of time in our day. Add on to that the unlimited possibilities of how to grow your business and you’ve got the perfect situation for overwhelm. Here are three common causes of overwhelm and how

    How To Work A Room
Success is all about relationship building. The more people you know and who know you in a favorable way, the better your chances are of succeeding in everything you do. One of the best ways to make contacts and build relationships is to join different business organizations and attend their networking events. The main objective of networking is to make contacts and

If You are the CEO, What Do You Do?
I have been reading the comments recently posted on a major website about a company that began by helping people beautify their homes. They did this by providing great products at a great price backed by excellent Customer Service. This is the success formula that has been the backbone, cornerstone and foundation of every single great Customer Service organizat

It feels a bit like standing at the edge of a cliff with a raging bushfire at your back.

This is the emotional buying factor I guess that the good copywriters exploit. But it’s one that I just can’t seem to do. I have come to the conclusion that I will not be a good copywriter simply because it’s something I personally don’t want to become. It simply doesn’t sit well with my character. Who was it who said “Unto thyself be true?”

So how in the world do I ever expect to become a good Internet Marketer if I have determined not to use emotional manipulation to sell products?

Well, the jury’s still out on that one. So far, I’m still hanging in there and clicking away.

My saving grace seems to be Google and Video. Google is implementing performance standards and ex
