Gift Cards - Is It Time to Use Them for My Business? You're probably thinking, here we go again somebody is trying to sell me something that I really don't need. I'm sure it will benefit them, but will it benefit me? Firstly let me say that my company, Solutions Ink does sell gift and loyalty cards. The market out there while huge is certainly not for anyone. Who then are these cards good for? These cards are great for chain stores with multiple locations and for stores with very loyal repeat customers. Why are these stores prime candidates? First let's examine the large chain stores. Today more than ever people's disposable time is very limited. Buying a gift for someone takes time and effort in researching a product the person might enjoy , and then finding the right size and color. Today everybody is looking for convenience. It takes 2 minutes at a cash register to get a gift card. Firstly the price you want to pay is exactly the amount on the card. If the recipient wants something more expensive, they can simply add onto it. The recepient can spend his time finding the right size and color and shop when he or she wants the item.As far as the store goes, they know that once they've sold you the gift card, the sale is coming. Their cash flow is improved because the cash sits in their bank account t'ill you use it. More importantly a growing percent of people who receive these cards never use them. Lastly, most people end up spending more then thier gift card in the store. The question really isn't why should I invest in gift cards but rather why I am I not running out to purchase them?Another great reason is dut to the technological revolution. With bar codes and mag stripes affixed on the back of the cards, the stores are now able to capture important information about the end user. They can see who uses them,
Tea Blending-An Accidental Invention! It Needs More Support From Tea Research! There was an English tea merchant selling tea packs in his town during the year 1660 A.D. He used to get a bag of tea from one estate or the other and make small packs and sell them to the people in his area.
People were buying from him, but used to make remarks on the quality of the tea he supplied. THE GOODNESS OF TEAS!
It had become quite customary to hear comments of his customers about his tea. They said, “The tea was good last time, but it is different now”. When the color was good, the taste was not so. Again, when the taste was good, the tea color was very low. The flavor was not always the same. When ever he buys a new tea bag and distributes it in small packs, the customers’ comments were also changed. This is because the teas grown in different estates differ in their characters. The tea characters change from grade to grade, season to season, process to process and even time to time. Man could be a silent listener of all these things and cannot control. The merchant was not able to find out a way to escape from the unsatisfied customers’ remarks. NO SINGLE TEA HAS ALL CHARACTERS IN PERFECT MATCH!
Once it happened that the merchant sold almost all the tea and could not get a new bag instantly. Then, he just started searching and collecting all teas left out in all the tea bags as remnants. To cover up the time, he mixed all the remainings of tea bags and made into small packs and sold to his customers with all the reluctance. It was quite surprising to hear from almost all consumers that the tea was good that time in all respects. He had actually mixed all the leftover teas purchased so far and supplied to the consumers only to avoid the time gap. But, the customers were satisfied and started asking to sup
We all need a little inspiration once in a while, and we all need to be reminded that achieving success is a process, not an event. It doesn't happen over night. Here are some ideas for
improving your chances of internet business success.
Have a plan, preferrably written. We all need to get organized, and have a vision of where we are going. Some people seem always to take the impulsive "fire ... aim ... ready" approach and do everything without thinking. At the other extreme are those who are subject to "the paralysis of analysis" ... they spend all their time thinking, and never get into action. As with most things, moderation is the key. Take some time to think out a plan and write down the sequence, then get to work. The plan can always be revised as you go.
Treat your internet business as a real business. If you're serious about making money, or achieving personal freedom, you have to think of this as a business, not a game or a hobby. Discipline yourself to work on your business regularly. Set aside an hour a day, or one day a week,
or whatever your personal schedule allows, and discipline yourself to abide by that schedule. Setting aside an area of your house to be your "office" is always a good idea, too. Even if it's only 10 square feet in the corner of your bedroom, that is your "office".
Think of your business progress as a scientist would. Make your plan, but leave it flexible. Try some things, and be willing to modify your ideas and plan based upon results and experience. A scientist forms a theory, then tests the theory, then modifies the theory to account for the
results, and tests it again. That happens over and over. It works great for business, too.
Set realistic goals. Many people make the mistake of shooting for the moon, instead of setting a series of attainable goals along the way. Set realistic goals, reward yourself for achieving them, and then "raise the bar" for your next goal. You can't get to the top of the stairs without climbing each of the steps ...
Be patient. Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither was any other successful business. While internet business offers the chance to "fast track" your way to success with much lower costs than traditional business, it still requires an investment of time and money, and the patience to watch it grow. Your first several months, possibly even the first six months to a year are basically a learning experience.
Getting started is the hardest work. You're learning new things, perhaps developing a web site or learning how to advertise and market on the internet. Most people say they did the hardest work for the least payoff in the first six months of their internet venture, but as time goes on, they work less and less, and earn more and more.
Do what excites you. If you're serious about internet business, you'll be putting a lot of time into it. One sure way to sabotage yourself is to be doing something that holds no interest for you. Instead, pick something that excites you. It might be your favorite hobby, or
something else that you're passionate about. Maybe the sales process itself excites you. That's fine, but at least pick products that interest you, or sooner or later, you'll lose interest in promoting.
The riches are in the niches. Many people starting out in internet business tend to have too broad a focus, or try to sign up for dozens and dozens of affiliate programs, taking a "shotgun" approach. They apparently figure that if they have enough irons in the fire, *something* will pay off. Internet veterans are quick to point out, however, that a far better approach is to pick a narrowly defined niche ... a unique product, or a product being sold to a unique population. The
trick is to find something that has a fairly high demand, but relatively low competition. When you find it, you've found a "niche".
Develop multiple income streams. Rather than putting all of your eggs in one basket, try to develop multiple sources of online income. That way, if one of the products or vendors
you are promoting fizzles out, you have several other income streams still functioning. The idea is very much like diversifying a stock portfolio. While this seems to contradict what I just said above about picking a niche, it doesn't have to. You could represent several complementary products to the same niche market, or develop several niches. The point is to start narrow, but diversify as time goes on.
Think positively. You would be amazed how much your own attitudes, whether conscious or unconscious, affect your outcomes. If you're in an internet business opportunity that doesn't feel right to you, or which you don't expect to work out, then either change your attitude, or change your
business. If you believe in what you're doing, don't let the negative attitudes of others dissuade you. Considering the opinions and feedback of others is smart ... blindly allowing them to alter your beliefs automatically is not.
Medical Billing - Billing The Wrong Carrier In a previous installment of medical billing goofs, we discussed what happens when you bill the wrong item to a carrier and how you can be charged with fraud, but what happens when you send a bill to the wrong carrier. What follows is a genuine story. It's kind of funny when you read it, but the truth is, it's far from funny. This is some serious stuff.A medical billing company, we'll call them XYZ company, was sending out a claim for a patient, we'll call him John Smith, to Medicare Region A, which is in the New York area of the United States. Now in actuality, the name of the patient was a common name so there could have very well been many people with that name.Anyway, the bill makes its way to Medicare Region A and the response from Region A is that they are not going to pay the claim because the patient that the company was billing was dead. Well, to make a long story short, the medical billing company gets on a conference call with Medicare Region A and the patient. On the one end, the patient is screaming at the carrier, "How can I be dead? I'm right here". The carrier simply responds that according to their records, the patient is dead.Well, this back and forth goes on for quite a while with quite a few phone calls. Finally, Medicare Region A decides that they're going to go over the patient's records with the patient and the medical billing agency. So they begin the questions starting with name, address, etc. Well, when the patient gives the carrier his street address and state, the carrier responds with the following. "Sir, Texas is not in our region". Well, it turns out that the patient had the same street address as another patient in New York. Everything was exactly the same except for the state, which nobody bothered to check. So wh

Be in Green with a Software Development Contractor What has been already discussed many times is if it’s worth to outsource contractors or to employ your own full-time developers. So if you stick to outsourcing, this article will make you think about several issues that always follow the process.Let’s think wide, the fact that you use staff from outside your company allows you to reduce your costs for monthly salaries, social benefits, and taxes, insurance, rent payments etc. Those are the payments you should process permanently despite the possible fact that the company is out of stable contracts and it doesn’t generate revenue during several months. You should be really confident that you can provide the company with permanent work to be in green. On the other side, hiring contractors for each particular project can make you think that that costs too much for you. Really, you can think, ‘I pay my developers a sum that’s similar or less than the one I pay to contractors’. However, don’t miss the fact mentioned above. You don’t pay taxes, rent and other additional costs. Those are paid by a contractor company. That is why, it is always strange to hear statements like, ‘I do not want to pay your office, and your electricity expenses etc. I hire programmers. So they are what I’m going to pay for.’Right. Those are the terms that small groups of developers can afford. So being stuck to this issue you always risk to get into a trap of unreliable services. I think you agree that a freelancer takes care about his reputation much less than a company. At least the company has invested a lot of money (in addition to other efforts) to build it. And reputation means reliability here.So what’s about cost effectiveness is:Outsourcing reduces your costs; that’s the fact. But don’t expect to get

Tips On Writing a Successful Ad When knowledge is based on truth it is powerful! When it is critical knowledge, its presence can drive our success, while its absence may contribute to our failure. I will attempt to convey in this report some useful and practical knowledge about how to write awesome ads for the World Wide Web. It is my sincere belief that; if you act upon the suggestions that will be presented here, you may well be taking steps which will give your ad greater pulling power.Web advertising takes many forms; web pages, classified ads, e-mail responses, news group postings, and even your signature file. No matter which form you employ unless your advertising is seen, nothing is sold. Being seen is of key importance. However, a less considered but equally important factor is your viewing audience. Disregarding your audience results in the problem of "selling air conditioners to Eskimos." It just doesn't generate much interest. A reader who has no interest in your advertising material is not part of a qualified audience" and is not a potential customer.Classified ads placed in the appropriate section for your product will naturally draw a qualified audience of potential customers. Ad placement within the section is the single most important factor determining whether or not your ad is seen within the section. Secondly, the content of your ad will determine which (and if) potential customers do in fact actually read your ad. When placing classified ads on the web some rules of thumb are:Choose classifieds that have the largest number of ads because, this is generally a good indicator of how much reader traffic there will be for your classified.Determine how the ads are ranked or sorted within the sections and attempt to be listed at or near the
