Have them confirm and then confirm again. Allow for the second confirmation to be when their email gets listed in your database. This way the viewer is certain he/she want your emails. Though it’s wonderful to get all those hits to your e-commerce web site, hits don’t mean much unless you convert them into sales. This is especially true if you are paying for, and not converting, clicks.

If your website is suffering from the “Conversion Rate Blues”, consider the following steps for improving sales and ultimately, profits:

    1. Make sure your website is optimized to attract people with the highest potential to buy

When I first designed my log furniture website, Log Cabin Rustics, I unwittingly targeted an audience that wasn’t the perfect one for my site. As things turned out, I didn’t even rank for my two top key phrases, log furniture and log beds, in the search engines. I managed to get pretty high on the scale, however, for log cabin related searches.

People who build log cabins are a target market of mine, since many of them eventually purchase log furniture to go with their home. The most likely immediate customers, however, are those who actually searched for the term “log furniture” rather than “log cabin”. When I re-optimized my site for the search terms I thought would bring the highest conversion rate, visitors to my site were more likely to buy because my site was selling what they were searching for. My efforts paid off, when my conversion rate (and sales) doubled in the month or two following my changes.

    2. Add a personal, trustworthy touch to your site

I don’t personally care to have my picture posted on the front of my website, although many people do. I do have my name prominently on the site, together with information about why I sell log furniture and my business background as a CPA. Conversational Debate Trickery and Common Courtesy Issues
When debating with someone else who begins using normal human conversational trickery, often they will demand common courtesy if the debate gets heated. Although in reality no one should not expect any common courtesy who uses such tactics, as they move to make the other party look foolish, eat their words or backtrack on a previous comment. This is because as you disrespect the other party, they want revenge. And common courtesy simply goes out the window. Recently in debating a topic with a Poker Player who is involved in the online gambling business. He attempted to use such tactics, so I explained this to him;You see, obviously if one is a decent poker card player they do understand all this, so indeed your questioning stating: “I don’t Understand” is also not common courtesy, because you pretend not to understand something that you think you know, that you really don’t know, in order to make a point. Thus hoping to bait the other person (me), which I do not appreciate, into burying themselves into proving your point. This is conversational trickery often used in debate

The Proper Handling of Welding Rods
Welding rods get no respect. Out in the field I've seen guys throwing 50lb. rod cans from the truck onto the ground, torching cans open diagonally, beating the wrong end open with a chipping hammer and every other conceivable tool, and leaving open rod cans out in the open.Let's look at what's wrong with each…First and foremost, ALWAYS open the "right" end of the can. Some cans and boxes even say "open other end", or "don't open this end", or "the other end moron!." (last one made up by me.) The reason you need to open the right end is because you can damage the flux coating. You want to open it on the side where the rod is bare for the stinger, or electrode holder. There's a lot less chance of damaging the flux that way. 7018 is very prone to flux damage while 6010 is a lot tougher. Most guys out in the field aren't gonna' be thinking about the welding rods inside the can as they toss them from the truck to the ground. When the cans get manhandled the flux gets jarred loose on the welding rods inside. It's bad enough when the flux gets chipped off the end of the rod, flux chipped fr

How to Run a Family-Owned Business: Management Tips
Just like being the CEO of a Fortune 500 company, running a family-owned business is about good management and leadership. They face the many of the same issues as any other company, as well as some the average business mogul never thought of; it can be a bit difficult to reconcile managerial roles to family dynamics. You need to work together with other members of your family and run the business professionally in order for it to succeed.Leadership vs. Management:Simply put, leadership is about vision and management is about turning the vision into reality. Leaders motivate people through their vision, while a manager’s job is to take care of the practical details of achieving that goal. Managers need to be on the spot, taking care of little details, getting day-to-day problems sorted out, and ensuring the smooth operation of their department.Family-Owned Businesses: Issues. The major issues in family-owned businesses are about conflicting family dynamics and how it affects the business hierarchy. Some of the questions and issues that may arise in the family-owned business include:her than “log cabin”. Ebay Ebook Success: Using Reviews and Guides to Promote your eBay Store
In my last article I discussed how to effectively promote your eBay store using your About Me page. In that article I outlined that it was one of the most underutilised promotion opportunities on eBay. Ebay Reviews and Guides are a new introduction by eBay, but are just as underutilised by eBay sellers as the About Me page. In this article I will discuss how you can utilise this excellent feature to promote your eBay store:1) What is an eBay Review or Guide?:- A review is simply your own personal review of any product on the eBay market, for example a CD, DVD, book etc. You give the product a rating out of five and then write a brief personal review about what you liked, didn't like etc. A guide can be on absolutely anything you are qualified to give advice on. I convert these newsletter articles into "Ebook Success" guides on eBay which complement my eBay store. However, guides don't necessarily have to relate to your eBay store. If for example, you enjoy fishing then you could write guides related to fishing.2) Why should I write an eBay Review or Guide?:- I would personally recommend w
rsonal, trustworthy touch to your site

I don’t personally care to have my picture posted on the front of my website, although many people do. I do have my name prominently on the site, together with information about why I sell log furniture and my business background as a CPA. I have found that a personal touch goes a long way towards selling log furniture. Many of my customers spend $2,000, $3,000 or even $4,000 on their log furniture order, and some of them have waited years to get the furniture they want.

They didn’t find what they wanted in their local area (they must not have many white cedar trees in Texas), but they found it on my site. There’s just one problem, however. They wish they could touch the furniture, slide the drawers in and out, look for drips in the finish, and generally evaluate the quality before the drop that kind of money. I have had people drive 4-6 hours on more than one occasion for that very reason, and frankly, I don’t blame them. I’m pretty picky about my furniture too. This is where I can help my customers. I use primarily local suppliers, and finished furniture that I sell is finished right in our building. I can and do inspect much of the furniture before it goes out. Our finishing department does a pretty good job, but if I see something I don’t like, I have them sand it down and get it right.

Some people I sell furniture to place their order online or with one phone call, but many of them talk to me several times before they place their order. They start to feel like they know me, and I start to feel like they are my friends. The last thing I want to do is ship a suite of log furniture from Michigan to Caifornia and have it come back because the customer i
