    Brand YOU
If you are the brand then you need to follow all the branding rules. You must adhere to all the conventions of creating a solid brand. You are also the corporate identity along with several other functions. The functions you would use for a corporate identity all need to be addressed. These functions include: Logo, advertisements, annual reports, transportation, signage, letterhead, website, business cards, and so on. Everything needs to be consistent. This means that the elevator pitch you use must also fall into line with all the other components. Do not let anything be different from the creation of the brand. Creating a brand around a person is not easy but it will show them as an expert in their field. If you are are able to write, and if you are going to be an expert (and a Brand) then you will need to add a written book to your list. From this book (and for other reasons), you will also be able to do book speaking engagements. Every thing you do will work towards creating your brand. Just be consistent at all times. That's Not Leadership - Is It?
If I asked you what leadership looks like, what would you say? I like to think that we've grown beyond the superficial image of the 1950's--the handsome white male with the strong chin; the tall, athletic build; the thick yet well-manicured mane of dark hair, contrasting so dramatically with the piercing blue eyes. Maybe today the images are a bit fuzzier, allowing for leadership qualities in both sexes, in all races, even in unassuming short people with problem skin.Maybe.But even if that's true, even if most of us have moved beyond such limited ideas of leadership, we are still the prisoners of other mythologies--ideas far less visual and far more ancient, and ultimately just as debilitating.Nine years ago, I learned this truth in a profoundly personal way.I was working at the time for a small company that was owned by a megalithic monstrosity. I was still in my twenties, and entry-level managers were a dime a dozen. To the seven-figure executives, I should not have been so much as a blip on the proverbial radar screen. But as it happens, an unusual confluence o

    Physician Assistant Jobs
While we know exactly the role played by a physician, who is a physician assistant (PA)? Is he one who simply assists a physician in his or her clinic? A PA can be defined as one who is licensed to practice medicine under the guidance of a physician. This guidance, in most cases, need not be direct or on site as in the physician's clinic or hospital. It can also be available for a PA who wants to practice in remote areas that are far removed from major towns and cities. PAs can treat patients and, in most states, prescribe medicine. In some states they are authorized to prescribe controlled medications like narcotics or those drugs that can have harmful side-effects if taken without proper analysis or study. In surgical practices, PAs can also serve as first assists. They provide medical services that are reimbursed under Medicare and third-party insurance. Physician assistants and nurse practitioners both provide similar services, but the latter are referred to as nurses by trade, and their work is often limited to doing only as much as a physician or a surgeon orders them to.Ac

    Job! Money! Career!
Feel somehow your life is stuck in MS-OFFICE – The reality of life for MBAs is Excel or PowerPoint , I heard Google is catching up at campus. Having gone through this myself, (I am still not out of it!), having had the nightmare of freshly minted MBAs reporting to me every year ( 90% of MBAs in their first job believe that their first Boss in Incompetent) and struggling to manage their transition to reality, guess I am now in a position to give some Gyan on assessing your job and career moves. I crystallized these thoughts while discussing these situations with a friend of mine, her issues with the first job where similar to what most of you would be facing. Job!! Money !! or Career !!1. Money is not Important: - I do not actually mean it, not that I am asking you to struggle through an insipid low paying job. I did that for almost a year. But the rules of taxation are such that anybody earning between Rs.5.00 Lakhs to Rs. 10.00 Lakhs per annum ends up more or less with a similar quality of life. So if you are just switching jobs for a few thousand more, think twice, it may not be

Job Interviewing - Ten Tips for Success
Whether this job interview is your first or your 51st, it never hurts to brush up on your skills and do some advance prep work to ensure success. Learn how to play up your key strengths, minimize your weaknesses, and make a great impression overall. Here are ten tips from my arsenal of career advice. 1. Relax, you'll be more authentic and confident if you do. The best suggestion I can give before an interview is to just relax. Easier said than done, right? It helps to remember that you have education, training, and experience working in your favor. Think of all the ways you provided value to your past employer. Did you land a huge account? Go above and beyond on a certain project? Take a deep breath, recall your accomplishments, and let go of the tension. Know that you're worthy... and who knows. Maybe you're even overqualified for the position! 2. Remember, you're interviewing them, too. So many people view the job interview as a test - and they'd better pass with flying colors or they're in trouble! On some level, yes, you're being t

    Defining the Problem

It is not surprising that many CEOs, marketing managers and business owners are frustrated by the ineffectiveness of their websites. Everyone in business understands the power of the Web and we are all tantalized by its potential. But rarely does that potential get fulfilled. So whose fault is it? Well there is certainly enough blame to go around: website designers who don't understand business; IT departments that superimpose technical solutions on mar
