Dial Up Internet Providers

Dial up Internet providers are service providers that allow users to access the Internet for a fee. They are also known as Service Providers, External Service Providers, MSO (Multiple Service Operators), Offshore Providers, and Information Technology Services Providers. Most popularly they are referred to as ISPs or Internet Service Providers.

Dial Up Internet Accelerators

It is widely accepted that dial up is not one of the fastest options available to access the Internet. It takes a lot of time to establish a connection. In a dial up connection, the user, known as the client, sends data to the remote server. This is done through a modem. It is like asking permission to access the Internet and is known as a handshake. It takes a lot a time to send the data back and forth to establish the connection, which is essential to verify the user account information.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Broadband Phone Service

Broadband phones or VOIP have a lot of advantages over traditional phone service, especially in pricing, but before you take the plunge, make sure you understand the disadvantages too, so you can determine if broadband phone service is right for you.

Consumer Demand Drives Development of New DSL Technology

Many Companies are making the investment to meet consumer demand for better and faster broadband internet service. New technologies are emerging that may soon put more zoom in your Internet connection

Broadband's Future Lies In Accessibility

The future of broadband depends on accessibility. In the United Kingdom, both Scotland and Wales are beset by a rigid problem; broadband access is a real problem in many rural areas.

The Advantages of a Broadband Connection

What kind of Internet connection do you have? Are you waiting ages for that page to load? I know how bad it is. But consider the times we are living in. Are we not supposed to simply fly through web pages like an Acura NSX or a 911 Turbo? However, if your Internet connection is really slow then you would be lucky to move at 5 miles per hour. All that really matters is the Internet service provider and the broadband connections available.

The Evolution of Wireless Internet Service Providers

I believe we all have sweet memories of the times when our only way to get on the World-Wide-Web was a dial-up Internet service. Oh, this was the time of the first humble steps of internet. I will ever remember the time when I used this dial-up Internet service.

ISP - Free Internet Access

Internet is one of the most essential things for some of the regular Surfers.

Have You Had Problems Setting Up A Wireless Router?

Internet Services - Tips for Choosing Internet Service Provider

What should you consider when you choose an internet service provider? Read these simple tips before making your decision.

Internet Access Providers

The definition of an Internet access provider is simple. It is a company that provides Internet access to its client base. They provide this service through modems or PPP connections. Some companies also offer Internet access through cable modems and wireless connections. Traditionally, Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and Internet Access Providers (IAPs) can be understood in two different ways. IAPs give the user access to the Internet, and ISPs provide other services like T1 or T3 lines, web development services and other online utilities. Today, there is no real watertight demarcation between ISPs and IAPs, as more and more providers are using Internet access as well as services. It has become the fastest and cheapest way to go.

T3 Connections

T3 connections are advanced versions of T1 and T2 broadband connections that provide high-speed broadband connectivity to large organizations as well as individual users. T3 connections consist of two receiving and two transmitting fiber optic cables that are capable of transmitting data at forty-five megabits per second.

T3 Bandwidth

T3 bandwidth provides data transfer speeds of 45 megabits per second (mbps) and contains 672 individual channels that are each equal to voice grade telephone lines, capable of transmitting online video shoots, real time video, and large databases over a busy network. T3 bandwidth is by and large, used in large universities and companies that have large number of users in the same network.

BPL - Broadband Over Power Lines?

Ok, hear me out on this one. I’m sitting at my computer in my home office last night, reading articles to help me come up with the next idea for “The e-Business Resource” blog and I came across an article written by Gary Beach, a publisher at CIO.com. His article talks about a new technology coined by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) called BPL or Broadband over Power Lines. BPL is a terms that defines the ability to connect to the Web, via a high-speed Internet connection, through a standard power line. Does this means that you can plug your computer directly into a standard electrical outlet and connect to the Internet? Yes, exactly!

Wireless Internet Providers

Going wireless seems to be the trend nowadays. From cellular phones to notepads, joining the fad of losing the cables and connections is the Internet.
