Black Theology
European and American theology had never taken the suffering of black people as a serious theological issue and therefore was incapable of speaking prophetically in the midst of their oppression. Out of this vacuum black theology in its contemporary form emerged.

Christian Fundamentalism
A controversial phenomenon, Christian fundamentalism is described in much academic literature as a spiritually militant, fervently apocalyptic, worrisomely antimodern socioreligious movement.

Why We Don't Pray
OmyGodIamheartilysorryforhavingoffendedThee was not an act of contrition, a prayer, or even an afterthought when I was growing up. It was always the penance imposed by my parish priest, after he was subjected to my laundry list of sinful misdoings in the monthly confessional. But to me it was a conglomeration of arcane mumblings that I couldn't race through fast enough on my way out of Church. At that time I had no idea of what I was saying. Now I realize the power and purpose of those words, but their early impressions on me and my play pals was enough to discourage my development of the beautiful art of prayer for many years.

Are We Verbally Abusing God?
I read an excellent devotional based on this text. The famous verse Exodus 20:7 says; you shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name. (New International Version)

Do Not Underestimate The Spiritual Power Of Flowers
Flowers have played an important part in religious ceremonies for decades. Every religious culture uses flowers in their rituals and prayers, whether they are Hindus, Roman Catholics, Islamic, Baptists or other. Take the lotus flower for instance which is the symbol of beauty, prosperity and fertility, it has always been very important in the Hindu and Buddhist community and later was also adopted into the Christian faith representing springtime.

The Battle Over Love
The Chess game took on a form of war that led to a truth. A truth that was disguised so that the evil found in the hearts of men would be revealed.
Good men recognize love and do what is right, but if you are not careful a good man can be used as an instrument of hate.

Abraham's Lack of Church Attendance May Be A Model for Us to Follow Today
The title suggests not attending church but that is not what I am suggesting nor is it what this article is about. Abraham was able to experience God and follow God without all of the modern day necessities of worship CD's, mega-churches, Christian pop-psychology books, and the low-brow cultural idols of our christian religious culture today.

The Apostle Paul And Compulsive Behavior
Was the great Christian apostle Paul addicted to some compulsive behavior? God gave Paul a weakness or temptation so that he would not be exalted above measure over his accomplishments. Indications are that this weakness may have been some type of compulsive behavior disorder! Read the diagnosis here.

Dissolving the Illusion of Fear
Webster defines fear as unpleasant emotions caused by expectation or awareness of danger. However, if we are honest with ourselves many times the expectation of danger is only an illusion produced by the emotion of fear itself.

Integrity Is Not Optional
Sometimes no one else would know. But if your endeavor is to receive the blessing of God, integrity is indispensable.

Gautam Buddha
Gautam Buddha, I know I am too small for even writing about. Whenever I think about Him, I can see the devil in me, maybe because I am just trying to relate myself with a line that has no start and no end.

Seeds of Change
Over 4,000 different belief systems exist in the world. New level of consciousness. Isn't it ironic that this ineffable Truth has always been right here, within us.

|
God is Love
The original tenets of religion, that God, or the Ultimate, is ineffable. This new consciousness is not a choice for people, or something to be stamped out; it is inevitable. This shift in consciousness is happening now.
